Happy Earth Day, Toros! Get ready for the new showdown of Trashy Tuesday, where trash and recycling go head to head. Waste is out and conservation is in; look around campus this week for posters on what you can and cannot recycle, as well as small actions that have big impacts worldwide. Of the 267.8 million tons of solid waste generated, only 94.2 million tons were recycled or composted. This lack of reducing and reusing is causing our landfills to fill up, and fast. One easy way to fix this is just to hold onto your cans and papers until you see one of the many large, blue recycling bins around campus and in classrooms to ensure a less trashy school and community.

Don’t forget to stop by the PAC any day this week during both lunches for the clothing exchange being held by Environmental Club for the chance to get your new favorite piece of clothing. Also, today is the 4th quarter Campus cleanup to celebrate Earth Day. Help make the Earth one you want to live on and get some service hours while you do. Meet in room SA4 at 3:15 right after school today.
