Looking for a way to make your high school experience meaningful? Get involved with Service Learning! You’ll get the chance to help out in your community, develop leadership skills, and earn recognition from Mesa Public Schools if you reach 200 hours of service by your senior year. Interested? This week we have several colleges visiting Mountain View. On Tuesday our rep from Benedictine University Mesa will visit at 3rd hour and over the lunch hours. On Wednesday our GCU rep will be available in the Career Center for appointments in the morning. On Thursday a rep from ASU, Barrett the Honors college will visit at 1st hour, a rep from Savannah College of Art and Design will be here at 3rd hour and a rep from University of Advancing Technologies will visit at lunch on the lunch patio.

We have quite a few home games this week and would love to see you there! Come check out girls volleyball take on Westwood on Wednesday-games are at 4, 5 & 6pm. The theme is Fraternity and Sorority! Wear your Frat and Soro themed attire. See you there!

You can also come check out our state champ flag team tonight for games at 4 and 6. And we have freshman football on Wednesday. Our next home varsity football game is this THURSDAY - "pink out". Come see the Toros play Westwood and show your school spirit by wearing PINK! Hope to see you there!

Attention freshman, sophomores, and juniors - Picture retakes are on Thursday, October 3rd during lunch. If you missed getting your school picture taken in August or if you don't like the picture you already took, bring your picture envelope and ID to the Performing Arts Center during lunch and get one taken. Again, picture retakes are this Thursday during lunch in the PAC. Bring your ID and your picture envelope.

Are you interested in a career in automotive or motorcycle maintenance, aviation maintenance, HVAC or welding? The rep from Universal Technical Institute plans to visit Mountain View on Tuesday, October 15th at 3rd hour. He will share about their different career programs, how you can apply and about financial aid and scholarships to help you pay for your training. Sign up for the visit using the Career Center events form on the counseling site, in Canvas or stop by the Career Center and Mrs. Simmonds will help you get signed up. See you there!

Do you care about the environment? Do you want to help make a difference on our campus and in your community? Join Environmental Club! Meetings are every Monday in Ms. Burchett's room SA4 right after school.

The Blood Drive is on October 31st. Student Council will visit classrooms two times a week starting tomorrow to hand out permission slips to interested students, collect finished packets, and answer any questions about the drive.

The Homecoming dance will be on Saturday, October 19th and it’s going to be AWESOME. You won’t believe the places we’ll go! Tickets for the dance are on sale now for $35 each in the bookstore. Buy your tickets NOW before the rush.
