Juniors and Seniors! Do you have a 2.8 or higher gpa? Would you like to spend a day away from school to visit a college campus? Stop by the Career Center to pick up a permission form for a field trip to GCU. Forms are due back this Thursday and spots are reserved when you turn in the form. We will visit Grand Canyon University on April 1st to take a tour, visit a cadaver lab, meet with some GCU students and have lunch. Pick up a form today or tomorrow to reserve your spot on the trip!

Sign up for the ASVAB using the form on the Counseling page. The ASVAB assessment is scheduled for Wednesday March 13th. You will be excused from class for part of the morning. A few weeks later you will learn how to use the ASVAB Program to research careers! Stop by the Career Center if you have any questions or need help signing up! Space is limited so sign up soon! Civics Matters Arizona is a civic engagement initiative to empower the highest needs students across the state to become active and engaged participants in their schools and communities. Selected students have an opportunity to participate in a FREE 4 day/3 night experience in Washington, D.C. (from June 11-14) and earn credit towards the Arizona Seal of Civics Literacy. Phoenix Rotary 100 Annual Speech Contest will be held at the State Capital on Saturday, April 6th. The top 4 winners in the 11th - 12th-grade division will win $500 to $4000, and winners in the 9th - 10th-grade division will win $250 to $1000. Each school can enter 2 seniors, 2 juniors, 2 sophomores, and 2 freshmen. For more information and the specific format of the competition, stop by room 725 to pick up a packet.
