A rep from Eastern Arizona College will visit the Career Center on Thursday, February 29th at first hour to meet with students who would like to learn about this college located in Thatcher Arizona. Did you know you can obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from ASU, NAU or GCU while completing an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing at Eastern? In addition to nursing, Eastern offers more than 80 certificates and degrees! Sign up for

The No Place for Hate Club is meeting today at 3:30 PM in Room 1135. If you're going with the club to Poston Junior High tomorrow, you'll need to bring your permission slip to today's meeting.

Congratulations to Ruben Bacasegua, Jillian Bleak, Lily Davis, Caleb Staker, and Chris Wren! These students represented Mountain View at Hacktivate Mesa, where their research on and proposal for third grade literacy improvement was awarded Best Presentation by Mayor John Giles. This is Mountain View's third consecutive Hacktivate win. Go Toros!

Hello Mountain View! The Latino, Asian Student Association, Multicultural, Native American, and the BSU Club would like to present the Second Annual Multicultural Fest at Mountain View on Friday, March 1st. This will take place in the courtyard, PAC, and auditorium. The exciting event will take place during 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th period as well as during both lunches. We will have food, performers and much more! Encourage your teachers to sign up for the event. We will accept cards and cash! Help celebrate Mountain View’s multiculturality.

Seniors, On Thursday February 29th Mesa Community College will be hosting a scholarship presentation in the career center during 2nd hour. If you would like to attend, please see Mrs. J or Mrs. Simmonds in the career center. Space is limited.

Juniors and Seniors! Do you have a 2.8 or higher gpa? Would you like to spend a day away from school to visit a college campus? We will be taking a field trip to Grand Canyon University on April 1st to take a tour, visit a cadaver lab, meet with some GCU students and have lunch. Stop by the Career Center or the counseling office to pick up a permission slip and learn more about the trip! We can take 45 juniors and seniors. Spots are filling up and students are signed up when a permission form is returned to the Career Center so sign up soon! Forms are due back no later than March 14th!

Juniors and Seniors - Wondering how your skills and interests line up with different careers? The ASVAB Career Exploration Assessment can help you find out! Curious? Sign up for the ASVAB using the form on the Counseling page or in the Career Center Module in your grade level class in Canvas. The ASVAB assessment is scheduled for Wednesday March 13th. You will be excused from class for part of the morning. A few weeks later you will learn how to use the ASVAB Program to research careers that may be a great fit for you! Stop by the Career Center if you have any questions or need help signing up!
