Announcements posted M/Tu/Th/F

Are you interested in being a member of Mountain View’s Nationally Recognized Student Council? Want to make a difference in your school? Then come to the mandatory Student Council Election parent meeting! Potential candidate AND a parent must come to just one meeting. The final meeting is today at 6:30 PM in room 1215. Be sure you and your parent come if you are interested in running. See you there!

Sadie’s Tickets are on sale now in the bookstore! Right now, there is only one Bookstore Clerk, meaning that the closer we are to the dance the longer the line will be. We will be selling tickets at the door, however they will be $37 rather than $25 in the bookstore and guests from other schools will NOT be permitted to buy tickets at the door. Be sure to get your tickets in the bookstore before it’s too late. For Spirit Week, tomorrow is favorite color Friday! The dance is also tomorrow! Let’s make it a good one!

Juniors and Seniors! Do you have a 2.8 or higher gpa? We will be taking a field trip to Grand Canyon University on April 1st to tour the campus, visit a cadaver lab, meet with some GCU students and have lunch. Stop by the Career Center or counseling office to pick up a permission slip and learn more about the trip! We can take 45 juniors and seniors. Students are signed up when a permission form is returned to the Career Center so sign up soon! Forms are due back no later than March 14th!

Juniors and Seniors - Need to do some Career Exploration? The ASVAB Career Exploration Assessment can put you on the right path toward finding a great career. Curious? Sign up for the ASVAB using the form on the Counseling page or in the Career Center Module in your grade level class in Canvas. The ASVAB is scheduled for Wednesday March 13th. You will be excused from class for part of the morning. A few weeks later you will learn how to use the ASVAB Program to research careers that may be a great fit for you! Stop by the Career Center if you have any questions or need help signing up!

Calling all SWAT Team members: Please come to room 717 during your lunch today to talk about upcoming events and service hours.

Seniors - do you need help finding money for college or trade school? Have you and your parents completed the FAFSA to find out if you qualify for any federal student aid? On Saturday, February 24th, MPS is hosting a FAFSA workshop event at the Student Services building to assist students with completing the FAFSA! You can sign up using the link found on the flyer posted on the Career Center window or Career Center bulletin board. Stop by the Career Center if you have any questions!
