Toros! Today members of the Environmental Club and Student Council will be visiting 4th and 5th hour classes. We are raising funds to purchase trees to plant on campus. Our goal is $5000 so we can get 100 trees. As an added incentive, Student Council will provide a Pizza Party for any class that can raise $200 or more. So, help us make the world a better place, donate, and get a pizza party! 

Hi seniors! There will be an event on November 16 from 5pm to 7pm where you and your parent can attend and get your FAFSA application done. See flyers in the hall for more information or follow @mvfafsa on Instagram.

Seniors! Need help finding a way to pay for college or trade school? Then stop by Mountain View's Library next Thursday, November 16th from 5-6pm or 6-7pm. We will have reps from MCC, ASU and GCU here to present on FAFSA and financial aid, answer your questions and we will have reps and FAFSA peer coaches there to help you set up your FSA id. Sign up for the event using the form on the Counseling page, in Canvas or stop by the Career Center. FAFSA is
the first step in finding money for school! It is also required for many scholarship applications. Hope to see you on the 16th!

Join the Swifties Club with a Taylor Swift themed party on Friday, November 17 after school in room 701. We'll be making friendship bracelets, playing charades, Pictionary, and more! There will also be a photo station to document the fun. Juniors and Seniors - are you interested in Grand Canyon University? Would you like the chance to visit their campus, meet some GCU students, tour a dorm and have lunch on campus? GCU is inviting juniors and seniors with a 2.8 or higher gpa to visit on December 1st. Pick up a permission form in the Career Center or Counseling. Forms are due back by November 21st. Students are signed up when they return the form and space is limited so sign up today! Don't miss out on this great opportunity to visit a college campus!

Hi Toros! A rep from Scottsdale Community College will visit on Tuesday November 14th at 5th lunch and 6th hour in the Career Center. Sign up for the visit to learn about the programs offered at SCC like film, forensic science, business and culinary arts! Learn about scholarships and financial aid and more! Interested? Sign up using the form on the Counseling website, in Canvas or stop by the Career Center and Mrs. Simmonds will help you sign up! See you there!

Hey Toros! What are you doing today? How about coming here to watch our Varsity Football team take on Red Mt. in the first round of playoffs? We need to fill our stands for our team! Because it is an AIA game- no family passes or activity cards will be accepted. Everyone must have a ticket from gofan - no exceptions. $5 students/$10 adults 

Attention Toros! The Dance Club is looking for dances to help fill their Winter Show! Do you have a solo, duo, or small group dance that you would like to perform? Come audition it next Wednesday, November 15th! We will be holding auditions in the PAC Flex Space starting at 1:30. You don't have to be a part of the club to audition, just have a full dance choreographed! Again, come to the PAC Flex space on Wednesday. November 15th at 1:30pm to perform!

New club alert! Do you love Ultimate Frisbee? Join the NEW ultimate frisbee club after school on Thursdays at the practice field. All are welcome!

Hey Seniors! Are you looking for some money for college? Come to our FAFSA Info Night November 16th. Snacks and water will be provided. This event is for parents and students to get information about the FAFSA and get help setting up your FSA ID. This is another great opportunity to get one step closer to completing your punch card. Flyers to sign up are in the halls. See you on the 16th from 5-7 pm! 

Hey Seniors! Make sure to complete your FSA ID so you can participate in our thanksgiving hide and seek; Where's Terrance the turkey? He will be hidden all around campus. Just snap a pic and send it to our Instagram @mvfafsa. Find the daily hints and more information there too. Be sure to participate to get a reward! 

Next week, the Nation Honor Society will be sponsoring a food drive for Midwestern Foodbank. Bring canned goods, pasta, or any non perishable food to your 2nd hour classroom. The room with the most donations will receive a Barro's pizza party.
