Hi Toros! Are you interested in learning about different colleges and careers? How about scholarships? The Career Center hosts many events during the year to help you. On Thursday August 24th a rep from Embry Riddle University will visit. In a few weeks a BYU rep will be here. In September we will hold scholarship presentations for seniors. Sign up for these events using the link found on the Mountain View counseling page, scan the QR code on the flyer on the Career Center door or look for the sign up form in your grade level class on Canvas. Hope to see you there!

Juniors and Seniors! Do you need help with your college essays? NHS is partnering with one of our counselors, Mr Hoerber, to help you out! Look out for flyers in the hallway for more information on how to sign up. Or go to room 726 for more information. We will meet on August 24th during BOTH lunches in 726.

This Friday, August 25th, the Swifties Club will meet for the first time! Come join your fellow Swifties and make new friends. The meeting will be in Mrs. Heggie's room, 701. Friendship bracelets are encouraged.

Students, are you interested in earning Service Learning hours? Do you wish you had a voice in some of the decisions affecting our campus? Come check out the SIAC committee. We will have our first meeting on September 11th, at 3:45, in the flex space of the Performing Arts Center. Snacks will be provided. You will hear the details of membership and service. We would love to see you there.

Come and join our Latino Student Club. We meet on Wednesday after school. Our mission is to provide a safe and fun space for all to join. We are also committed to sharing our culture with MVHS students and the community. By joining our club, you may be able to participate in our field trip to the capital; share your food and culture with teachers and participate in the multicultural event that we organize with other clubs. We are an inclusive group that strives to increase representation and cross- cultural experiences. Join us for some fun every Wednesday after school.

We want to remind you about the upcoming benchmark testing on August 30th. This testing is a crucial part of our academic assessment, and we appreciate your cooperation in making it a success. All 9th, 10th, and 11th graders will report to their second-hour class by 8:05. All 12th grade students will be learning asynchronously. If your second-hour class is Seminary or EVIT, please note that you will report to a different classroom as directed.
