  • Toros! Are you looking for a way to earn money?? Reps from Golfland/Sunsplash will visit Thursday, March 23rd at lunch to let you know all about job opportunities! Stop by their table on the lunch patio during your lunch hour to learn more!
  • Juniors and Seniors! Need help figuring out what career might be a good fit for you? Do you know how your skills and interests line up with different jobs? The ASVAB Career Exploration tool can help you answer these questions. We will be offering the ASVAB at Mountain View next Wednesday, March 29th. You will be excused from class for the time you miss. Sign up for the ASVAB on the Counseling website, in the Career Center module in your Class in Canvas or stop by the Career Center in room 1238 and Mrs. Simmonds will help you sign up. 
  • If you misplaced your wallet and can describe it please come to the Bookstore. 
  • Hey students! Would you like to earn money and learn how to fix computers? Mesa Public Schools is hiring students to be summer tech interns! You must be at least 16 years old, be able to work 29 hours a week, and want to learn new skills that can be used in the world outside of school! If interested, come to the tech office to learn more!
  • Seniors! If you have completed the FAFSA application you will be entered into a give away for gift cards from target, Starbucks, sonic, and Chickfila. The amounts range from $10 to $20. You can still enter now so be sure to finish and submit your FAFSA as soon as possible! A QR code can be found on our bulletin board and on our Instagram page @mvt.fafsa.2023
  • Attention Girls Flag Football - there will be a meeting in Coach Saulsby's room this Thursday during lunch - see you there!
  • Juniors and seniors! - Reps from BYU, ASU and Savannah College of Art and Design will visit Mountain View on Wednesday and Thursday. They will be here to let you know about their schools, majors they offer, life on camps and to answer your questions about college! BYU and ASU will be here Wednesday, March 22nd. Savannah College of Art and Design vists Thursday, March 23rd. Sign up for these visits using the Career Center Event sign up form in your class on Canvas, using the link on the counseling website or stop by the Career Center in room 1238 and Mrs. Simmonds will sign you up. Don't miss these great opportunities to meet with reps and learn about their schools! See you there!
  • Congratulations to the following Mountain View students and teachers whose writing will be featured in Mesa Public Schools' Voices Writing Contest and Anthology. 1) Freshman Allen Plumb was awarded 1st place for "Weeping Woman" (his teacher is Mr. Maldonado). 2) Sophomore Vera Chapin was awarded 1st place for "Starlight of Fialova" (her teacher is Mr. Magnusson). 3) Junior Brenley MacNab was awarded 1st place for "Arnold Taylor" (her teacher is Mrs. Traylor). 4) Junior Grace Huyter was awarded an Honorable Mention for "The Banana Man" (her teachers is Mrs. Traylor). 5) Junior Chris Wren was awarded 1st place for "A Crazy Thing Called...Police Brutality" (his teacher is Mrs. Thune). 6) Junior Madelyn Merrill was awarded 1st place for "Address to the Nation" (her teacher is Mrs. Thune). 7) Senior Ariana Gomez was awarded 1st place for "El Rancho de mi tata" (her teacher is Jessica Chupp). 8) Teacher Mrs. Thune won 1st place for "I ask a poem." 9) Teacher Mr. Magnusson won 1st place for "Drifting."
