  • Hello Toros! Stop by the No Place for Hate Club on Tuesday at 3:30 in Ms. Keel's Room (1135). We'll be talking about and planning for Women's History Month. New students are always welcome!
  • Graduating Seniors! Please look for the bright red poster board in-between the counselors and the library. This is a senior name list, and you must verify that your name is spelled correctly! These names will appear in an official graduation handout and will be printed onto your diploma. For any adjustments, please contact Ms. Oliphant in registration or Mr. Jones in the leadership office!
  • There is a college fair represented by AVID in room 1111 during both lunches on Monday, March 6 and Tuesday, March 7. Everyone is invited to stop by for a few minutes during their lunch to check out 15 different colleges. 
  • Calling all SWAT Team members: Garden club members please come to room 717 for updates on what we are doing to improve our campus and to do a group activity this Thursday the 9th during both lunches!! 
  • Seniors! Are you planning to attend Arizona State University? Do you have questions about your next steps in signing up for housing, orientation or have questions about your financial aid offer? Our ASU rep is scheduled to visit next Wednesday, March 8th at 2nd hour in the Career Center to help answer your questions. Sign up for the visit in the Class of 2023 class in Canvas, on the counseling site or stop by the Career Center! Hope to see you there!
  • Toros - A former Mountain View student and current West Point Cadet is scheduled to visit Mountain View today at 3rd hour in the Career Center and over the lunch hours on the lunch patio. Stop by the Career Center at 3rd hour or at his table on the lunch patio to ask your questions and learn more about what its like to be a cadet at West Point! 
  • Juniors and Seniors! Thinking about where you'd like to attend college. Would you like to take a day to visit a college campus, meet some college students and have a free lunch from Chick-Fil-A, Qdoba or Panda Express? Stop by the Career Center and pick up a permission slip for a fieldtrip to visit GCU. Students with a 2.8+ or higher gpa, meeting GCU admissions criteria, are invited to attend. Space is limited so sign up today! Students will be signed up on a first come first serve basis. Forms are due back this Thursday March 9th so sign up soon! 
  • Juniors and Seniors! Need help figuring out what career might be a good fit for you? Do you know how your skills and interests line up with different jobs? The ASVAB Career Exploration tool can help you answer these questions. We will be offering the ASVAB at Mountain View on Wednesday, March 29th. You will be excused from class for the time you miss. Sign up for the ASVAB on the Counseling website, in the Career Center module in your Class in Canvas or stop by the Career Center in room 1238 and Mrs. Simmonds will help you sign up.
  • There is an important speech and debate team meeting today after school in room 725. If you plan to compete at the Arizona District National Qualifying Tournament, you must see Ms Howell today. There are also 3 Springboard tournaments you can still compete in for practice prior to the qualifier. 
  • Third down and one. One quarter to go. No cap! Really, no cap! But we do have capstone research projects to share. Check out some of the dramatic literature research projects in the 700 building. Pull out your phone and access the QR codes to see a variety of projects on "The Blues", "The Brain", and Macbeth inspired capers to name a few.
