  • We have our monthly NHS meeting TODAY during both lunches in room 726. All new member please come to this informative meeting. Seniors we will have graduation and scholarship info for you. See you then! 
  • Students please check out the Art Show in the front lobby. The work is by Mountain View students applying for the AZ State Diploma Arts Seal. The show will be open Tuesday 2-28 from 6-8 and during the school days until Friday at noon, March 3. 
  • Seniors - On Monday March 6th Mrs. J will be hosting a MCC App Day in the Career Center. If you do not have an MCC account and would like to register to attend, you can do that by visiting the Career Center Corner located on the Counseling & Career Center webpage 
  • Juniors and Seniors! Interested in video production? How about Culinary arts? Is studying Business more your thing? Sign up today for the visit by our rep from Scottsdale Community College. He will visit Mountain View tomorrow Friday, March 3rd at 2nd hour in the Career Center to tell you about all that SCC offers and how you can apply for seniors who are planning to attend SCC this fall. He's also here to answer your questions about the school, transfer opportunities and more. Sign up using the sign up link on the counseling website, in your class on Canvas or stop by the Career Center and Mrs. Simmonds can help you sign up. See you there! 
  • Juniors and Seniors! Need help figuring out what career might be a good fit for you? Do you know how your skills and interests line up with different jobs? The ASVAB Career Exploration tool can help you answer these questions. We will be offering the ASVAB at Mountain View on Wednesday, March 29th. You will be excused from class for the time you miss. Sign up for the ASVAB on the Counseling website, in the Career Center module in your Class in Canvas or stop by the Career Center in room 1238 and Mrs. Simmonds will help you sign up.
  • Juniors and Seniors! Thinking about where you'd like to attend college. Would you like to take a day to visit a college campus, meet some college students and have a free lunch from Chick-Fil-A, Qdoba or Panda Express? Stop by the Career Center and pick up a permission slip for a fieldtrip to visit GCU on Friday March 24th. Students with a 2.8+ or higher gpa, meeting GCU admissions criteria, are invited to attend. Space is limited so sign up today! Students will be signed up on a first come first serve basis. Forms are due back this Thursday March 9th so sign up soon!
  • Toros! Are you looking for a summer job?? Reps from Golfland/Sunsplash are scheduled to be here today on the lunch patio to let you know about job opportunities. Stop by their table to learn more about how you can earn some money over the summer!
  • Toros - are you curious about what it would be like to attend a military academy like West Point? A former Mountain View student and current West Point Cadet is scheduled to visit Mountain View on Tuesday March 7th at 3rd hour in the Career Center and over the lunch hours on the lunch patio. Sign up for the 3rd hour visit using the Career Center events sign up form on Mountain View's Counseling website or stop by the Career Center and Mrs. Simmonds can help you sign up. If you can't make it at 3rd hour, stop by his table on the lunch patio to ask your questions and learn more about what its like to be a cadet!
  • Seniors! Are you planning to attend Arizona State University? Do you have questions about your next steps in signing up for housing, orientation or have questions about your financial aid offer? Our ASU rep is scheduled to visit next Wednesday, March 8th at 2nd hour in the Career Center to help answer your questions. Sign up for the visit in the Class of 2023 class in Canvas, on the counseling site or stop by the Career Center! Hope to see you there!
  • The Mountain View Girls Tennis Team was victorious over the Liberty Lions Tuesday, winning 6-3. It was a real nail-biter! Special recognition and give big-ups to Laynee Johnson and Maddy Butler, who stepped up at the last second in true Toro fashion to help deliver the win! Great job girls!
