  • Students, are you interested in having a say about activities and events on campus? Are you interested in increasing your leadership skills? If so, you might be interested in running for student council. There will be 2 parent meetings, Next Monday February 27 and next Tuesday February 28, both at 6:30pm. To be eligible to run, you and a parent MUST attend one of them. 
  • Sadie’s is Friday. It will be from 7-10 PM. Tickets are on sale now at the bookstore. As a reminder that if you are taking a guest, a form will have to be filled out and brought to the Bookstore to be able to purchase tickets. The form is on the new MVHS website if you go to the Bookstore page.  With the dance being a Friday, the guest forms will have to be turned in by Thursday, February 23.  Don’t risk missing out and get your tickets early!
  • Juniors and Seniors! Thinking about where you'd like to attend college. Would you like to take a day to visit a college campus and have a free lunch? Stop by the Career Center and pick up a permission slip for a fieldtrip to visit GCU on Friday March 24th. Students with a 2.8+ or higher gpa, meeting GCU admissions criteria, are invited to attend. Space is limited so sign up today! Students will be signed up on a first come first serve basis.
  • Congratulations to the Latino-Spanish club for going to the Arizona Capital thispast Wednesday to educate our representatives on the issues that impact the Latino community. The activity was a resounding success thanks to the training received from Aliento, a nonprofit organization. The students took part in important conversations with multiple senators and representatives involving various policies that directly impact the undocumented community in our state. Our Latino students are planting seeds to change the future as well as representing Mountain View proudly.
  • Congratulations to our students of the month! Lunch will be on Feb 27th in the Principal Conference Room. Our Toros of the Month are: Madison Hansen, Jobanny Espino Villagran, Adelaide Hogan, Trey Maloney, Kaylenaei Courtney, Schvela Torres, Courtney Fulton, Tyler Covington, Dr. Sheri Reed and Security Renee De Santos. Way to go Toros! Watch for your invitation to the luncheon coming later this week.
