Don't forget to pre-order your yearbook. Go to the Mountain View bookstore or log into your MPS Webpay account to place your order. The pre-order price is $75 and will go up, so order today!

Things to Know

All colleges require an official transcript as part of the application process, and they will not accept it from you. You must request your transcript through Parchment (https://www.parchment.com) in order for the college to accept it.

If you will be applying to a NAIA or NCAA program, please email the registrar, Angela Valenzuela at amvalenzuela@mpsaz.org to have your transcripts uploaded to the eligibility center. Please include your student ID number in your email.

ACT/PSAT/SAT scores are not held by the school, you must keep a copy of your scores when you receive them, or go to the respective websites (https://www.act.org, https://www.collegeboard.org) to retrieve them.

No one will be allowed to participate in the commencement program unless they have met ALL the graduation requirements.

Seniors who have outstanding fines/fees will not receive their diploma until all charges have been cleared.

7am-9am

Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal Report to your assigned room no later than  7am.

Graduation Ceremony begins

Graduation Practice

  • Graduating Seniors must attend the mandatory graduation rehearsal the morning of May 22nd.
    They must be in their assigned rooms no later than 7:00 AM

  • Wear sunblock, sunglasses, and hats - it’ll be hot!

  • We will run through the entire program.

  • Make note of where you sit so you can advise your family where to find their seating.

  • Prior to practice, please connect with the name readers if you have a name that is difficult to pronounce.

  • BEFORE graduation day -  pay your outstanding fees/fines at the Bookstore. All outstanding debts and fees must be paid by 12:30 the day of graduation. Seniors who have outstanding fines/fees will not receive their diploma until all charges have been cleared.

  • 9am-ish - We’ll finish with the whole group.  Speakers will stay to practice their speech.

Dress Code

  • All graduates must wear their blue cap and gown.  (Note: Cap mortar boards and gowns may not be decorated in any way.)

  • Additional adornments (ex: head pieces) may not be worn during the ceremony.

  • Clothing Options:

    • Collared dress shirt with tie

    • Dress

    • Skirt

    • Dress slacks

    • Blouse

    • Socks and dress shoes (Note:  No stiletto heels or other shoes that may puncture the turf field).

  • Cords/Stoles/Medallions - from senior year only

  • Cultural Regalia aligned with House Bill 2705

  • Please do not wear jeans, shorts, t-shirts, tennis shoes, flip flops, etc.

Graduation Photos

  • Make sure you have completed the Information for Graduation Photos form on the website.

  • A professional photographer will photograph you as you receive your diploma.  Proofs will be emailed to each senior’s home approximately 5-7 days following the graduation ceremony.

  • Each student will be given a card in their assigned room.  It is ESSENTIAL that you have that card with you when you get your picture taken.

Commencement Expectations

  • Observe dress code.

  • Leave your cellphones in your car or with a family member. (You will want to set a location to meet your family after the ceremony is over.)

  • Conduct yourself in a manner appropriate for such a momentous occasion.

  • Refrain from the use of alcohol or illegal substances.

  • Food and drinks are not permitted on the field (bottled water is okay).

  • Beach balls, fireworks, horns, balloons, etc. are not permitted by graduates or attendees.
